[GRAPHIC] Unagi

We spotted an interesting looking eel restaurant yesterday, didn't get to try it because none of us speak meal-order level Korean language.Tonight we went to dinner with a Korean MKR member, when asked what we want for dinner, I prompted to tell him about that restaurant. At first we thought it was like kabayaki(the Japanese seasoned roast unagi), but again things turned out beyond our expectation.

Like many Korean barbeque meals, it's fresh meat on coal fire served with a fleet of side dishes, specifically there were about 4 peeled unagis in a transparent glass bowl. Unlike all korean barbeque meals, the main dish did more then just lying there still and wait to be cooked. Those meat sticks squirm, jiggle senselessly(I hope) like some kind of tentacle, took quite some effort from the azuma in dragging the thing back and keep it from slipping away. When put on fire, the movement became even more...lively, it's like they're having a rave party on that coal grill. And then it squirted!! I ducked but it was too late, it got me and my boss(tw ) in the face...~_~ I turned to look at my Taiwanese colleague for a laugh, only found them giving me the "look what you've done" face, simultaneously.

To be honest I prefer food that doesn't move, IMO they should have it killed / shot in the head twice/ make sure it's not kicking anymore, before bringing it to the table. Thank god besides wriggling and squirting, the thing didn't make any sound. Actually it tastes good, very fresh sea(?)food with natural flavor, just somewhat different from the elegantly sliced kabayaki on rice in our imagination. And according to our Korean company it's nutritious and very good for health, in fact it will "make you too healthy to sleep alone tonight, all night." (this point was also emphasized by easy-to-understand gesture). Well maybe I've got old, ain't feeling exceptionally healthy untill now.

Just miss the night with the not-so-genuine saag paneer, very much.
